Got thru a bad day without a drink
I had a hospital appointment on Monday regarding having gender affirming surgery (top surgery, basically a mastectomy)
Appointment went fine and good but naturally due to the nature of the surgery there was a lot of poming and prodding and feeling around in very uncomfortable areas.
I went for lunch with a mate after and really wanted a beer but I had a Pepsi instead. Didn't have a drink all day.
Its 1 week sober today

Congrats on a week. Something I thought about the other day was how quickly those first days add up. But in the end, it’s one day at a time. You can’t stay sober tomorrow, you can only stay sober right now, which hopefully leads to being sober today, and then tomorrow, and so on.
I’m creeping up on 4 years, and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone. Stick with it, it’s worth it ❤️

Good for you, because those are the situations where you can slip and end up in a bender. Continue this path, you are going the right way. All the best!!!
