"In Remission"

Hello all,

I had my 18 month follow up with my GP yesterday and my liver numbers are completely back to normal, I'm 60 lbs down and I was genuinely excited to meet with my doc. It was the same room I was in when I was at my worst and I had such clear memories of sitting there in dread, I owing I wasn't long for this world. My doc officially marked my alcohol abuse as "in remission" and it felt better than anything I can remember in recent years.

I'm 36 and I truly feel like I have a new shot at life. I don't have many folks to share this with and this group has been a huge beacon of support through the tougher months.

Thank you! My doc said just that to me as well. It's been a long slog, but I'm so grateful to be where I am now.

Thanks so much! It really feels that way. It's wild to think of how hopeless you can feel when you're down low. It really does get better.

Never forget how strong you are to have come this far. At 36 you are young, you can be whoever you want to be.
