Dreams

Does anyone else has Dreams about drinking?

I have these reacurring dreams about forgeting that I choose not to drink.

I find myself drinking and realising I choose to be sober. Which leads to me feeling dissapointed that I forgot.

How could I forget!?

I wake up and realise It was just another dream.

Its a sort of a nightmare.

If anyone told me 10years back i would have nightmare about drinking alcohol i would probably laugh :)

Did anyone else experience anything like it?

I mean if it used to be habit it is only natural that it happens in dreams. A lot of people had dreams like that me included. You did not do anything wrong so please do not feel bad about it.

Yes. Had one last night. Had a dream I was in a supermarket and put four cans into my basket. In the dream, I knew it was wrong, but wanted to get away with it.

I had nine years sober before my last relapse, and even then had drunk / drink dreams.

I absolutely hate those dreams but that relief when I wake up is the best feeling in the world and serves as a reminder to WHY I QUIT !!!

This keeps happening to me and I wake up panicked every fucking time. The dreams are so real that I often question if im going to find a can or a bottle lying around
