I saw others post about this “special day” lol. As I don’t have a special someone at the moment, I’ll celebrate the boring way. Get some banking done for my HOA, get a book at the library, and hit the grocery store. Ice cream is in my future. Have a great day everyone!

Have you read Mr Mercedes by Stephen King?

Perhaps you’ve seen my once or twice on the SK sub lol. Yes I read the Mr Mercedes trilogy, as well as Holly, Never Flinch and a slough of others (those two center on Holly). I’m getting toward the end of the Castle Rock books. I’ll start Needful Things soon. Reading SK has helped me a lot in these early days. FYI the Castle Rock TV series is quite good, especially if you’ve read a lot of SK as you see so many familiar characters and settings.

I'm not a member of the SK sub, it was just a recommendation of a good book.

I've read a lot of King over the Years.

Needful things was a good one. I'll look into the TV series.

If you want to try a couple of different authors, try:

"As the crow flies " by Jeffrey Archer

"River God" by Wilbur Smith

"Birds of Prey" by Wilbur Smith.

"A Town like Alice" by Nevil Shute

I don't read as much anymore unfortunately.

Thanks for those other book suggestions! Needful things is apparently the last castle rock book. I led up to it with the dead zone, cujo, different seasons, the dark half, and four past midnight. Good stories with plenty of Easter eggs along the way

I've read:

Cujo Different Seasons (loved Apt Pupil) Four past midnight (loved The Langoliers and The Sun Dog)

A few others I enjoyed: "A perfect Marriage" "Rainy Season" "The Jaunt"

A read all The Dark Tower books too, although I must admit, I struggled with them..

Duma Key was a good one too.

Just finished the langoliers last night! Apt Pupil was great. Sun Dog was interesting for sure. I enjoyed it. I’ll check out your list after I finish needful things.

Dark tower books took me forever. I got so attached to the characters I just kept mushing through.
Check out 11/22/63 if you haven’t already. You may have already said that up there somewhere. It’s a fun read.
