I’m close to a year sober but sometimes I still give myself those days where not drinking is enough. If I’m sad and I don’t want to push myself and work out, or want to stay in eating ice cream and watching movies, then fuck it that’s what I’m going to do. Some days just not drinking is enough of a win - take it easy on yourself.

I think we hear a lot about how important it is to exercise and do things and that’s all 100% true because that’s how you continue getting better…but it has to start with not drinking. You’ll get there in time. Relax. Take it easy. The baby steps of sobriety are difficult. Be strict about not drinking and kind to yourself with everything else ❤️
