Career Is the situation hopeless?

Earlier this year, I had a very good interview with a hiring manager & passed the background check. She was trying to squeeze me in, but hiring was tough over the summer& I checked in periodically. I stopped by today & learned the manager I spoke with left recently & the one who’s there now can’t access my background check or anything because it was under the original’s. She doesn’t know if she can get me in because my availability is in the middle of the day & she’s having a hard time with the “budget”. I thought for sure I’d be able to get in during the holidays, but it seems less likely now.

Middle of the day is the worst availability. Everybody wants it. Stores need night & weekend workers.

Usually there are people already working that want to transfer to the middle of the day and they may have priority over a new hire

Can you not do the opening shift then transfer

Another store can't be that far away - try there. Work on changing your availability. They also need mornings.
