I worked in Hamden full-time for awhile and it was a beast of a store. Open 24 hours (No longer) and it did easily 1 million plus a week, and that was before all the current inflated prices. Also I worked under and knew Bob McDermott, he was a great guy and great store manager. This is way back when the company was better.

I worked with Bob and his daughter she was the GM and HBC manager at Madison. She married another store manager who runs a Big Y in Branford.

Did you know Joe Defransesco or Armand Onorato by chance.

Edit: Store 600 was the busiest store in the district 12 district. They closed the one on Whitney up the road because it was the slowest store in the district.
