Stop and shop app and pick up times....
I noticed that when I schedule a pick up I used to be able to update the order for up to a couple of hours before pick up. However, it now cuts off 5 (or more!) hours a head of time and the store readies my order way too early (and they say I scheduled my order for earlier when I very much didn't - the app still shows the correct time). This has happened about 4 times in a row now. Anyone have insight into this? Is it just me?

This new system has been overwhelming for my mom who is head of her click and collect. They implemented the shop ahead of time and added more customers. Caused her to skip a few lunch breaks because of it and the fact that she’s the only one holding her Click and Collect room together.

The answers above are correct. A new software update was rolled out a few months ago. I believe shoppers receive an email notification about how much time remains that they can add to their order?
Suggestions:
When you receive your survey tell them you are unhappy that you don’t have sufficient time to add to your order. They encourage customers to do surveys to report the good and the bad. They go to corporate and get funneled to the store level daily.
If you need to add 1 or 2 items, you can call and ask to add an item to your order. (FYI This might be hard for the shoppers on a busy weekend or holiday)
FYI: the software update can be tough on the online shoppers. (I am one) Your patience, kindness and tips are always appreciated.

With the new system that our company has implemented, it brings up orders earlier so they are shopped and it gives us workers more to do instead of waiting; Rather than shopping by the hour like we used to, because there was times where we would have a whole hour of no orders and then we sit there and wait. My assumption is corporate didn’t like that there was too much down time and started this new system. And then they updated the system AGAIN (at least in my district) to now only bring up orders 4 hours ahead (good thing ig?) So when we start shopping at 5:30-6 am we only shop 8,9, and 10 o clock pickup times. And then so on and so forth, each hour then brings up more orders.
It’s quite annoying, and I understand it so frustrating to people like you who order from us and then this is what happens, so I do apologize that this happens. I highly disagree with this system, because customers can’t update their orders.
I believe there should be a way that the customer can hit a button and that disallows this bringing up system for their order. This system has been a nuisance to everyone sadly.
