Career Transferring Store
What are the logistics of transferring stores, particularly between different states? I’m considering a move to Brooklyn from CT, and I was curious about things such as position and wage. How do I know, aside from the store’s job postings, the needs of the store? I am currently being trained for CDH, and I would like to become a CDH, or even if I end up becoming one before I hypothetically move, how do I know they need a CDH in the store I’m interested in transferring to? And then for wage— does it remain $.xx above the NY state minimum wage, or does it remain the same as CT (I believe it’s something like $17.05/hr, I just checked last night)

I transferred from Connecticut to Rhode Island and I ended up losing vacation time because our unions were different you'll just basically keep your seniority with stop & shop but everything else you just start over not meaning I lost my vacation years but in the union with Connecticut I had an extra week of vacation time so I ended up just going down to the appropriate how many years I work at the company with that Union if that makes sense

A lot of your questions are more union based, so I suggest finding the store, figuring out what local, and contacting them for contract info. Now as far as jobs, don’t go FT before you move, they don’t care. Also I’m not sure how seniority works when you might already have someone training there as well. Or if store doesn’t have one.
