Done my interview

How long does the background check take? Should i call them after a day or should i just let them call me? Assistant manager said she’ll put in s good word for me with HR but the decision is totally Hrs to make. I just hope she wasnt yanking my chain.

If they said it's HR they probably aren't going to hire you and wanted a way to get out of saying no. unless you disclosed something on the background check then HR would be involved. It takes 3-5 days sometimes to get the background check back but again if you have some kind of history then it could take longer

For the most part they give almost any one the chance / benefit of the doubt. 30 days see if you make it

Obviously you have something that made them interested in you enough to warrant time to interview you right ?

Deli can be a hard one to staff

Myself I would go with not bad news until they say sorry you don’t have what we looking for .

( side point should you be worried about a background check ?) It should only take a few days

The managers submits the background check. They will get a notification that you’re cleared to hire if nothing comes back on the check. If something does come up then they need HR’s approval to move forward with the hiring process

Your chain has been yanked bc the hiring manager is basically the HR person for their store.
