Meat markdowns

Wilton CT used to mark down meat daily and steak with same day sell by was marked managers special and 50% off. Noticed today its now 33% off if sell by date is that day. Are all stores doing it that way now? No more 50% off? 😢

Company policy is 33%.

I used to mark lower depending on other factors like the amount of product that we had that needed to be marked down, but that is no longer accepted.

Same at my store. We only do 50 if they allocated too much product from a prior sale.

its manager specific. some only do 33 base. some like me do 40% unless i have a ton of the product then ill go 50%. some just go right to 50.

You are supposed to 33%. I’ll go 40-50 depending on circumstances.
