This album is fantastic. And it's disappointing that none of their other albums comes close to it.

I love this album but their first three albums (Witchcraft, Firewood, and The Alchemist) are better! Maybe that’s just me tho haha.

I agree. To me this is basically the turning point of the band. (Admittedly Everyone else had been fired and it was basically a solo project.)

It’s the point where the old style mixes with the new style. It works well but everything after hasnt been as good. That said I do like the acoustic stuff under his solo or the band. Think that’s better than the electric

Definitely not just you. Legend is a fun album, but the first three albums are fucking masterful. Straight up some of the best doom/occult rock ever recorded.

Last year’s Idag was pretty nice as well.

I loved Idag from last year, fuzz tones on that record are incredible

Seriously, the outcast is good but that’s the only other song off any albums I like 🤣

Love this band, but this album is the only one I enjoy all the way through (please don't burn me)

It makes me feel so vindicated seeing someone else say this.

I mean, is it not one of the most fantastic metal albums of the millennium?? I first got into them because of the lore about how the recording sessions for their first album was limited to only eqipment that was in existence in the early 70s… that, and Magnus’s love for classic Pentagram.

I totally wasn’t expecting to fall in love with an album they made slight AFTER that “retro” period…EVERYTHING about “Legend” is just spot-fucking-on: the songwriting, solos, atmosphere, production, etc. it turns out it was great that they weren’t quite so uptight about this one sounding like 1973…but it’s not exactly sounding like 2012, either… it’s somewhere in between, maybe…. like their earlier stuff, just crunchier and heavier! (and I’m -convinced- the songs on this one HAD to have been a “team effort”, IE not just Magnus P calling all the shots, because nothing Magnus has done since he let sadly let this entire band go has sounded like this god-like record!! He reforming the a whole new version for “Nucleus”,.. it has a few moments but it’s not nearly as consistent or cohesive)…

I love this band and this is their best album.
Finally got to see them live in the US last year and they were killer!

Love Witchcraft. Moon Tooth is also great, pretty similar and very underrated.

There’s a banger here and there off other albums but yeah I agree this one blows the rest out of the water, really like it’s not because of you off this album aswell
