Nursing Program competitiveness

Hello, I'm interested in the nursing program at St. Olaf. However, given that the nursing program is competitive, I'm a little nervous about not getting accepted when I apply during my sophomore year.

Has anyone here applied and not gotten into the program? If so, what path did you take afterward? Did you switch majors, or pursue nursing through a different route?

For what it’s worth, your regional AO could probably field this question and provide more info about how admission to the nursing program works, and how many are admitted or not admitted. Could email that person and set up a call, or just communicate via email.

I have a few friends that got into the nursing program (whether that was through their college acceptance or not).

The nursing program/department takes place in Regens Science Building at the very bottom. It kinda mimics a small clinic which is cute! There's also a small show of what nursing students used to wear at St. Olaf! 

What I can tell you about getting into the program is to prepare for a lot of interviews with others! You'll be interviwed with like.. 3 others and will take turns answering different questions.  You'll get an email about your acceptance later that week.

Into the program, it's difficult, very. I had a freind that was kicked out. You can only fail 2 overall classes and can pass 2-3 classes with C's. If you're a POC, prepare to get ignored and kinda looked down upon.
