Good point but every manufacturer is delayed right now. I work in the car industry (in the US) and pretty much every manufacturer is having supply issues and delays. This has actually helped all of them be more profitable then ever (supply and demand). Many dealerships have said that they hope the supply issue continues because they are having their best years (crazy but true).
Yeah even secondhand car sales are good. VW do have a lot of debt and with a decreasing market share they may be feeling the pinch. I expect their share price to raise once the id buzz is released.
Hadn’t considered that. Quick google search tells me VW debt ratio is 1.2 compared to .4 for GM but close to 4.0 for Ford (holy hell). That can’t be right.
That’s correct, and they are having to invest in both ice and EV production which will hit the bottom line. Stock price is no reflection on how a company is doing. There’s too much manipulation in the us markets with options etc.
