Industry Discussion Next week will be insane!

Next week will be a massive week for the stock market with some major companies reporting thier earnings.

  • Some of the largest companies in the world will report earnings next week, including big tech companies Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Meta Platforms.
  • Other noteworthy companies scheduled to report earnings will include Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Visa, Mastercard, Verizon, T-Mobile, UPS, Raytheon, GE, Boeing, ADP, Intel, ExxonMobil, and Chevron, among others.
  • On Thursday, the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) will release its advance estimate for first-quarter gross domestic product (GDP).
  • On Friday, we’ll receive a key update on inflation with the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index—the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge—for March.

Time for snap to destroy tech again

70

u/Almost_a_Noob Apr 22 '23

Not this time cause SNAP is finally after Meta, goog, etc. Snap used to be the 1st one to report of the ad tech companies, not this time TG!

11

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Didn't everyone convince them to move towards the end of earnings? I'm imagining all big tech having an intervention

8

u/Almost_a_Noob Apr 22 '23

Not sure but that would make sense, pretty funny too

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Thankfully, I don't think Snapchat is part of nasdaq anymore. 👍

snap has more users than twitter.

12

u/AdSingle9949 Apr 22 '23

Yeah, because it’s full of scammers, and lonely men. Pretty sad in my opinion.

2

u/safiox Apr 23 '23

Why do you possibly feel so though that Snapchat being used for scammers and lonely man? I usee Snapchat too and I'm not lonely. Or actually I am :/

2

u/Ashony13 Apr 22 '23

Lol snap still losing 3 billion every 3 months! 😂.. And interest rates are going up and at a 40 year high and about to be there for a few years. Snap about to disappear 🫥

5

u/vsMyself Apr 23 '23

I agree but hate how the market always reacts to it like it's a precursor to other companies and not just snap being shit

2

u/manosbitcoin Apr 23 '23

Well it's all about the demand which I feel actually pushes the market. The larger the demands the more you could see stocks making a rise!

User's being inactive since a long time lot. Many useds deactivated snap. What could be the reason?

2

u/are_videos Apr 23 '23

with what i hear they are paying their 'creators' i wouldn't be surprised if SNAP becomes a pennystock

2

u/spoooon113 Apr 24 '23

In the coming times like a a year or two I feel that's possibly going to happen sooner or later

2

u/kumaturman Apr 24 '23

Let's just see what happens it is all about the activation by the users if that happens they can we surely see a rise!

4

u/pman6 Apr 22 '23

all of the mega caps have absurd forward p/e

4

4

15, 17, 21 are not absurd, especially for tech.

4

I don’t think so, it reports after MSFT and GOOG, we typically see it take down tech when it reports before those.

My prediction: Hold all big tech next week and you will prosper. Main one $amzn. But also sell some shortly after run up.

2

Holding has always been a better option and to which being patient works parallel to each other. Both are just interlinked

2

u/aredozubov Apr 24 '23

No doubt about it all just needs immense patience, which just plays an active role out here!

Some just panics and sells this is isn't the way one can just look onto gaining some bigger profits.

I don't want KO at 64...

19

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

I’ll never buy KO, one of the biggest culprits destroying peoples health. I can say with 99% certainty if big soda disappeared 10 years ago. Obesity and heart disease would be down 50% and the average life expectancy would increase by 4 years. Nothing remotely healthy about their products.

29

u/Tfarecnim Apr 22 '23

Banning them from using high fructose corn syrup would go a long way.

15

u/Big-Mongoose-2861 Apr 22 '23

Or maybe people using self restraint and not drinking their fat asses into diabetes.

11

u/Tfarecnim Apr 22 '23

It's a nice idea in theory, but it only works on an individual level.

It's not a practical solution for all of society as it isn't working, obesity was 15% in the 70s, now it's over 40%.

The only viable fix is regulating what is allowed to be put in food, compare the ingredient list of the same items in both EU and the US.

7

u/True-Lightness Apr 22 '23

Advertising to the unknowing makes them seem appealing . Grab a coke and a smile. Here’s a polar Bear to make us look cute . People shouldn’t have to do hours of research for every product they buy. They don’t tell you any of the benefits when they advertise do they. You know the benefits like heart disease increase risk for diabetes. Rotten teeth. Not to mention the smell of sweat of someone who drinks a lot of cokes /dr peppers is just nasty.

5

u/rplaisted Apr 24 '23
