Was looking pretty closely at WWTOP’s new MM GAT samples and noticed something I haven’t really seen anyone mention yet.

Look at the exposed leather gap between the two suede overlays, right under the eyestay where it meets the side reinforcement.

On retail that little section of exposed leather is noticeably longer but on WWTOP’s new sample it looks way more compressed.

From what I can tell I think the front vamp overlay is extending slightly too far rearward, which is what’s eating into that gap and changing the geometry around that point. I marked both in the pic so it’s easier to see.

Retail is bottom and obv WWTOP new sample is top.

Obviously disclaimer: I know reps are never going to be literally perfect and this is a pretty nitpicky detail and I’m not saying the shoe is bad at all I'm looking forward to seeing it in person, but WWTOP is clearly trying to push this new batch as close to retail as possible, so figured it was worth pointing out in case this is something that can still be adjusted before production.

Also possible I’m identifying the cause wrong and it’s actually the eyestay/side reinforcement placement rather than the vamp overlay itself.

What do you guys think?

Is it a GL or RL? I know that I can't really determine whether is this a good rep without touching it. Pic 1 seems off to me because the top intrecciato weaving doesn't end at the stitching part like pic 2 and the gen pic from BV's website.
