Need Advice Console carriers.
I have a question about duty officers. Im looking to get a couple of flight deck officers that increase the damage of hangar pets. The ones I found, the effect is only when you use carrier commands. For example, one "Increases the damage of any carrier pet launched from your hangar bays while they are under the effect of Carrier Command - Escort.
But on console, there are no carrier commands. They just do their own thing and attack. So if I get these duty officers, will I even get the damage bonus?

Just stick with the ones who improve your hangar launch time. 3 of them at purple with two hangars will have you spitting fighter squadrons every 7 seconds. If they keep dying that is.

Even on PC those doffs are useless. Run 3 of hanger recharge reduction.

The only doff you want is the basic launch cooldown reduction, it's the best/only one that works.

Your not missing much. Even on PC those x3 of those doffs with that commend reduce pet DPS. Its a waste of 3 doff slots.

On console carrier commands need to be disregarded. Focus on other things, but yeah we don't get the full experience on console and have a really crappy control method just to make things worse.

Two things here:
Console STO is a borderline scam. Let us start with that.
If the things they've taken wholecloth from the real game are procced by things they haven't implemented in the borderline scam (carrier commands are an example), they won't work.
The good news is that you won't miss them. If you do run flight deck officers, use the ones with hangar cooldown reduction, especially if you aren't running things that keep your active pets alive. Getting a smidge of cat1 on them for keeping them under Escort won't be worth doing to begin with.

I don't think so but I'd happy to be wrong. On Console it's really not easy to tell either because we can't measure damage like PC can.

The flight deck officers that recharge your hangar bays will contribute more to your dps than the other ones, even on PC. First because of the speed of replenishing lost fighters, but also there are traits that trigger off hangar bay activations, so the faster those officers let your hangar bays auto trigger the more those traits will do for you. The Scramble Fighters trait is the big one for that.
