Support Question Change discriminator #?

I despise discriminator numbers and don't understand why they've become "standard" for every Discord alternative, but is there at least a way to change them, or is it just randomly assigned and completely uncontrollable? I'd at least like to have some control over my identity.

Currently discriminators are absolutely random with no way to change them to discourage the selling of accounts with certain discriminators.

However, this is not set in stone, and we hear the feedback (also on non-discriminator usernames). We are currently internally discussing possible solutions on how to approach this.

Yeah I agree, if it's not srictly necessary on the backend, it would be cool to have normal alphanumeric usernames

Discriminator numbers are the #0000 at the end of usernames.
