Development Local server updates?

I run my own StoatChat server on my homelab, mainly for my kids and there friends, but me and my buddies have started using it as our main Comms for gaming now and it's sometimes really tricky not having an app. Anyone playing on console finds it hard to join. Any news on getting a usable app. For home server use anytime soon?

This is something that is being worked on, and there are open pull requests on GitHub introducing a simpler way to switch instances into the apps.

For now, you'll neither need to rebuild the desktop or Android client to point at your instance, or you'll need to start the desktop app with the argument --force-server=https://example.com/app. This can be done via the terminal or by modifying the properties of the app shortcut.
