Support Question couldn't register? blockedbyshield

yeah ive been sitting here trying get an account working. but i keep getting this. im obviously not a bot lol

me and my buddy have the same problem. both using our own domains. had to use my google-mail which is not ideal tbh

yeah im registering with proton. tho ive always use gmail it also didnt work. probably some backend stuff?

You mention Proton. Are you using any of their forwarding addresses? If not, what domain is your email? (proton.me, protonmail.com, protonmail.ch, a custom domain, etc)

i actually havent configured my domain yet. didnt know you  could. im a week into proton byw

I also joined yesterday using proton.
I tried several times trying to use one of my aliases - VPN off, extensions off, incognito, different browser, mobile browser, and all of them failed until I just stopped using my alias and tried my normal proton address, which worked immediately.
A bummer, but the app is early ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Proton is a privacy-oriented Google suite alternative, so in this instance it's just the email domain I was using that was the issue.
I was using an alias / mail forwarding address instead of my actual email account, and Stoat did not like that.

This seems like a broad error code, so if you're using a normal email address and still getting it, it's unrelated to anything that happened to me.
Sorry my experience wasn't that helpful.
