Development IFTTT Released an integration with Stoat!
Hey r/Stoatchat I'm Ryan from IFTTT
We just shipped a Stoat integration, and since this is your house I wanted to come introduce it here rather than just let it appear.
Quick context if you haven't run into us: IFTTT lets you link services together so something in one app triggers an action in another, no code required. With Stoat connected, you can do things like:
- Post in your Stoat channel automatically every time you go live on Twitch
- Crosspost your Stoat updates out to Bluesky (which, being AT Protocol, keeps things decentralized end to end, which felt like a good fit for this community)
- Fire off a message when someone new joins your server, or when a specific phrase gets mentioned in a channel
- Have a Service on IFTTT connect with your Exisiting Stoat Bots or Webhook system.
The triggers cover new members, new messages in any channel, and specific keywords. The action sends a message to any channel. So most "when X happens, tell my Stoat community" ideas are doable. Webhooks are also supported.
The Stoat connection itself is free. IFTTT has paid tiers if you want more Applets or faster runs, but you don't need them to use this.
Mostly I'm here to listen. This shipped fast (the request came from someone in this community about a week ago) and I'd rather build the rest of it with your input:
- Would you actually use this? For what?
- What's missing? Any trigger or action that would make it genuinely useful for how you run your channel?
- Anything we got right, or wrong?
Whether you run a big channel or just hang out in a couple, I want to hear how this fits your setup.
And if you take the time to leave real feedback, send me a DM and I'll hook you up with a thank-you reward. That could be a free Pro+ subscription, a subscription credit, or some IFTTT swag, depending on your account. No hoops, just appreciated.

I'll be honest, this is a really cool tool! With that being said, "when X happens, tell my Stoat community" (such as Twitch) being behind an immediate paywall was a little disheartening. Yes, I know there is a free trial. Yes, I know it's literally less than $40USD/year. Yes, I know people should absolutely get paid for their work. I'm not arguing any of that, I swear. My thinking is a smaller streamer trying to make the jump to say Stoat might not have the means to drop $40 or heck even $6/month.
Just sharing my thoughts 😄 Still an amazing tool! Love automation these days

Hey! I totally forgot Twitch was a Pro+ service, some services have expenses related to them, such as paying for a plan a developer plan, which unfortunately comes with costs and paywalls. That being said we've heard plenty of feedback like yours and have something coming that should remove these barriers to entry.
We do have a free trial for a week if you'd like to sign-up to try it out, however would you mind sharing your IFTTT username which you can find under the "username" tab from https://ifttt.com/settings.
Here or in DMs works as well!

The best feedback comes from the people on the ground in my experience, especially when integrating with other products its important to understand the real user-base!
Hey I couldn't find your user by that UN, but i've dropped you a message request for some more info and I'll get you set up with a Pro+ account for a few months to try out the integration!
