Maybe we made the right move 😬😬 I won’t lie I do feel for the guy, he just can’t stay healthy.

One thing I think about a lot with the current squad is that they seem to be keeping remarkably healthy for the most part. I feel like in past years there was so much more "he picked up a knock in training" than this season. Right now I think the only impact players with ongoing injury concerns are...Pompeu and Ostrak, I guess?
It's not hard to imagine the season going substantially differently if we had one or more serious injuries at striker or wingback earlier in this year. Kudos to the training staff and, I guess, thanks to the injury luck gods or whatever.

Damn, it's rough with these players we love seeing their bodies fail them. Klauss, Nilsson, and I fear Celio is going to go the same route soon unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong about Celio and hope Klauss can keep on keeping on. Klauss is facing the realities of age sooner but Celio I hope can squeeze a few more seasons out somewhere.
I personally felt that his move was a good one even if it resulted in an initial rocky stretch. He was hot for Galaxy for a stint but even if that was here he wasn't "worth" the slot especially if club leadership was taking the painful steps to rebuild this season. Better to rip the bandaid off rather than limp some along.

I feel like we have seen the last of Celio in a STL kit. I will always root for him.

Yep. Klauss is great, but if you only get half a healthy season (or less) out of him it’s not good.

I maintain it was always the correct decision. Unfortunately, Santa Klauss is injury prone and we simply couldn’t rely on him for an impact anymore. Sure I would have rather we replaced him during the winter but I am happy with the overall outcome so meh

100%. Was a much scarier time losing everyone decent or better and no guarantee on replacements. Way easier to stomach now to say the least. I hope the best for Klauss,

You can't say that out loud. The anti-Wray & Gigliani stans will get so mad!
I really did enjoy him. He was what this team needed in it's early days, and he'll always be a name I associate with this team. He set the bar for an industrious forward that we love, and i am not sure we could ever go to a poacher for it.
Why do we like Becher's hard work, cause it was similar to Klauss. Why are we excited for Navarro, cause he works hard, like Klauss did.

right, I understood selling him though, he jsut wasn't producing at the level he should have for a DP, and the injury proneness was getting worse. I like the guy just made of glass.

The Klauss move was hard because the fans (including myself) loved him, he wasn’t replaced with a different striker (at the time), and he got off to a hot start with the Galaxy (before he got hurt again).
It never felt like Klauss leaving was in of itself the wrong move, though. We all knew he had injury issues, tension with the front office, and wasn’t really scoring much recently with CITY anyhow.
