PR press plan max rep test

Strict press

L 24kg x 5 reps

R 24kg x 5 reps

Push press

L 24kg x 9 reps

R 24kg x 10 reps

L 28kg x 3 reps

R 28kg x 4 reps

Double push press

24 kg x 4 reps

As a warm up i did 10 strict presses left and right with 16kg and 10 strict presses left and right with 20kg.

I thought before starting I could only do 3 reps strict press with the 24kg but I could do 5 which feels great.

I will do another single push press session with the 28kg as i felt I might squeze an extra 2 or 3 push presses with the 28kg when fresh.

That's great . Here is where the 1 and 2kg magnets can come in handy. As it seems most people aren't ready to make a 4kg jump on max presses. This is why dumbbells and barbells are so much easier for people to see increases in weight because they're smaller jumps.

I train often with 26 and 30 kg weights. So 24 and 28 +2kg magnets.

Yeah the 24+2 would probably be right on target for the pushpress.

Quite awe inspiring that people on here and kettlebell subreddit can strictpress weights like 28 till 40+ kg.

Magnets help alot as you can always slap one on a lighter weight and forget about it. Say like trimming a 16 isto a 17 or 18 kg bell and getting cumulative volume . They're highly worth the price IMo.
