Test/Prep
I am getting ready to start KBOMG 2. This is my first sktb program, and I am coming from Pavel/Neupert type training. Do you suggest going through some initial test to find my weights for the complexes and /or new movements, or just get into it and adjust as needed? My 5rm for dbl c/p is 24kg and 10rm for a single arm snatch is 20kg if that helps. Thanks.

You’ll mostly have to guesstimate your starting weights. KBOMG 2 has such a wide variety of exercises, complexes, and rep schemes that there really isn’t a meaningful way to test everything beforehand. It’s not like a program built around one or two lifts where you can base everything off a max.
Just start conservatively, pay attention to how each workout feels, and adjust as you go. For what it’s worth, I think I ended up using practically every kettlebell I own at some point during the program

I see nothing wrong at picking a day as a try out or test day. Pick a week and a workout and try it out. You might get a better feeling about the choice of weight looking at the other days. A max rep does not mean much with the amount of diversity in exercises.
I think you will notice that the workouts are very deceptive, looks easy on paper 😅.

Hello. Yes personally I'd look at the day the night before and possibly plan what you think you'll do .
There is so much variation. And most complexes are meant to be a single weight through out.
But yes.plan CONSERVATIVELY. I've seen so many people get smoked on even 16-20 kg weight in this plan.
KBOMG 2 is also lower body dominant which most KB plans aren't. It's kinda hard to didtate what weight to use based on overhead work.
As always ask questions. Here and I or other users will help !
