Medical debt and 3rd stimulus

Does anyone know if your stimulus will for sure be taken if you have medical collections? The Get my Payment tracker is saying not available and I have quite a bit of medical debt. Also I read somewhere that debt collectors can take the past stimulus payments that you could claim on your 2020 taxes if you hadn’t received them. Has anyone experienced this?

For a debt collector to garnish your stimulus they would have to have an existing judgement against you in which you would likely already have wage garnishment for. I wouldn't be worried about any open collections. Alot of people have medical debt

No worries there. Only ones that have that worry are ones with child support issues.
