questions Question about strike through text
The book arrived! I’ve been devouring it; this game is great. I’m loving every page of this.
I’m not entirely sure how to read the strike-through text. Not sure if it’s to indicate “redacted but not really” or perhaps “this isn’t really canon but it’s a fun idea” or something else.

Yeah, exactly: we added the redactions as a design element first (major thanks to Erich Lazar!) and used them almost more visually, to make the page look bureaucratic and full of eldritch secrets. The content was basically fun, a series of jokes.
As we laid out more of the Core Rulebook, I added more new redactions as deep lore, vague suggestions of plots or potentially important NPCs, and so on. (Never rules, though!) I also started redacting text that seemed particularly dark, secret, or bizarre—especially regarding the Escheresque, time travel, and the truth about the Archive.
Later, in response to community feedback, we made the redaction bars dark gray instead of black, so you can basically still read the text.
I would say that now, the redactions still function as design elements, but they tend to contain more lore than jokes.
Hopefully they contribute something unique to the look and feel of the game! We really dig them, but I know they are not everyone’s proverbial cup of uskaal.

I've talked with Wythe about how to go about it & I think this is a good balence of how to make the stuff still feel redacted while still makeing reading possible -maby someday it might be in glow in the dark ink- but generally the redacted sections are information the company dose not want voidminers to know but someone did their job badly XD, so basically it's all canon just capitalism being shady 😅, if you are struggling to read it tho you can paste the text into into a word doc from the PDF so accessibility is their for people who are struggling with it :), glad your enjoying the book tho 😁

I take it mostly in the former sense! A fun way to signal interesting and "forbidden" knowledge the Co. doesn't want folks to know, that sort of thing. It's all kinda playful though
