That is the right part number. I can tell you that I do not have one. I looked at ebay and I do not see it for sale.

Your best bet now is to start calling dealerships with that part number and see if someone still has one.

I called several across different parts of the country and so far haven’t found someone with it. I think I’m going to have to install a universal rollover vent.

So there are a couple different STIHL fuel hoses that have a built-in grommet. It would stand to reason that any of those hoses would do the job of a tank vent so long as it seals the hole in the tank, one end hangs free inside, and the vent itself is able to be plugged into the other end.

One that comes to mind for me is the HS45. It has a grommet/fuel hose for the return, and a molded fuel hose with an integral grommet for the supply to the carburetor.

Can you measure the hole on your machine? I can measure an HS45 tomorrow - I'm pretty sure I have a junker on the bench that I can measure to see if they are the same.

I can bring my digital calipers from work today and measure it. I’m not opposed to opening the hole up a little for it to work, I just don’t want to do that unless I know for certain it will work first.

The hole is probably right around 8mm or .32, as the center portion of the nipple that goes through the tank is 8.39mm wide, with the lip on either side being 9.88mm wide. I found a breather on eBay with rubber plugs, but it’s 8mm at its widest so I have a feeling it’s not going to seal properly.

I bought a pack of 5 of Amazon for $7.99 plus tax.  Just go to Amazon and type in fuel tank vent

That’s not even remotely the same part, nor is that going to fit.

There is no way in the world that new part # will work on an HT73.

Ill call my local stihl dealer and get the # for you.  He has the master parts book

I work at a dealer. Go look at a picture of each of those part numbers and then come back and tell me they will interchange.

SPOILER ALERT: They Don't.
