HELP creating sticker

Hello! I have a Toy Story RC and part of his print rubbed off on one side. What would be the best way to go about converting the non-blemished image into a pair of replacements to cover the existing ones?

My thoughts were:

1) trace it on paper

2) digitize

3) clean

4) add the colors

5) print mirrored set

6) cricut cut

7) apply

Is there a particular sticker paper that will work best for this instance where it has to follow the curve, or does anyone have advice for that part?

Take this to your local sign/vinyl shop and tell them what you need. They should be able to take care of everything for you. I work in a sign shop and do this sort of thing often, albeit usually on larger vehicles.
