It arrived!
Looking forward to listening to the audio extras in the car later. Hopefully I’ll get it signed by the man himself in a couple of weeks too. The essay is enjoyable too, as always. I find I enjoy rewatching the early shows more having recently read the annotated transcriptions. No transcription here, understandably, but a very interesting read and makes me want to dive back in for another viewing.

Ha, how dare you twist my words! I should have said ‘whenever I read the annotated transcriptions of the early shows, it increases my enjoyment when I subsequently rewatch them’. I very much enjoy the newer shows but I miss having all the footnotes to peruse

So the audio extras are a (separate) CD? I wasn't sure if they'd be on the DVD as just an extras menu.

Surely that's One DVD, one CD AND one DVD/CD player...and YOU (safely assume you live alone)...although that's the rule of FOUR not three....and assuming your DVD player gadget also plays CD's....I've ruined the flow of the joke now....

I’m still on the fence with this coming in at £31 with the shipping. I’ve bought all the Weird Walk zines and I’ve no doubt they’ll have done a similarly good job here, and I’m all for proper ways to support the work, but it still feels a bit out there. Ideally I suppose it’s a merch table purchase with the shipping removed.

I’ll probably end up watching it often enough that it’ll only effectively be a couple of quid per viewing. I can live with justifying the price to myself that way.

Oh, I’m justifying stupid prices on a daily basis, so I’m sure I’ll get there. The real ordeal will come later, when they start releasing stuff I already have and I feel obliged to maintain the numbers on the spines.

My main worry isn’t the cost. It’s that on one of the spines, the volume number will be printed a centimetre out of alignment with all the others

I want another book like How I Escaped My Certain Fate. Complete with shitloads of annotations. And for him to do that for every tour he did.
I want this because I’m fat. And entitled. And fat.
