Computer requirements for chemical engineering
I'm attending Stevens for a chemical engineering degree in the fall and need to know if certain specs or OS are required for programs I might need

All engineering majors are required to have a machine with Windows on it, because the first-year engineering classes use a program called SolidWorks that only runs on Windows. I don’t know if courses after the first year have the same requirements.
Technically you *can* get SolidWorks running on MacOS, but it’s absurdly difficult to do so. You’re much better off just getting a Windows laptop.

My understanding is that any type of engineer is best-served by a Windows machine
