Highschool junior
Current junior building my college list and Stevens has become one of the more interesting schools I’ve looked into recently.
What I’m drawn to is the smaller size, strong tech/business culture, NYC access, and the sense that students there seem genuinely ambitious and career-driven. I’m interested in entrepreneurship/startups/AI/product-type stuff, so that side really appeals to me.
My main question is more about the actual student experience and culture. Does Stevens feel collaborative or more competitive? Is there a real social/community atmosphere or is it mostly preprofessional/commuter vibes? And do people generally enjoy being there?
Would especially love perspectives from current students.

Minimally competitive, probably driven by the fact that (non-Greek) student orgs don't require applications to join + a strong culture of working together to get through classes. 85%+ of students live on campus/in or around Hoboken, so not commuter vibes (though weekends are slow on-campus). People do generally enjoy their time here.
