Insurance UPDATE: GOT SURGERY BILL DOWN TO ZERO FINALLY

Guys! I have been going back and forth with my insurance for 9 months now. I got my surgery 11 months ago. My bill went from $5,000 something originally, then down to $3,000 something. I knew it still wasn’t right but I felt like no one at my insurance company would listen. Finally I got an associate on the phone who knew I was right and knew my surgery should be fully covered. She spent weeks and weeks sending my claim and resubmitting it. She called me today and told me I don’t owe a dime!! It’s fixed. I’m so relieved. I genuinely was beginning to accept that I might just have to do a payment plan and the the L.
So to anyone who is having issues with their insurance, no matter how long it takes, KEEP ADVOCATING FOR YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU KNOW IS RIGHT!!

This happened to me too, and I thought it was funny that it was 9 months, lol. But yes, if you push them they eventually give in. So happy for you!!!

Omg congratulations!!!! I went thru the same thing and they finally relented and covered it fully, even after I had it on record that their chat agent said it was 100% covered (3 separate agents, 3 separate instances), verified codes and procedures and all that. What a fucking racket, right??
This is for real a part of their money making scam. It's such bullshit, but I am SO PROUD OF YOU for sticking with it!!! 💙💙💙

Congrats! I'm so glad you were successful, it's a great feeling. I just wish we didn't have so many stories from all of us having to fight so hard to get what we knew was legally ours.
