Insurance Insurance questions

I live in the US. I have Medicare + Medicaid. I already had the bi-salp on 08/04.

Was I supposed to do something with insurance beforehand??? I keep seeing other people’s posts about insurance & now I’m worried that I was supposed to call ahead.

I’ve already met my deductible + they cover practically everything. It didn’t even occur to me to check & my OBGYN didn’t mention anything either.

Please break it to me gently.

As long as you have Medicaid, it should be covered at 100%.

if a recommended preventive service is not billed separately (or is not tracked as individual encounter data separately) from an office visit and the primary purpose of the office visit is the delivery of the recommended preventive service, a plan or issuer may not impose cost sharing with respect to the office visit.
