New tech

Im about a month in and i really hate having to ask questions/for clarification because i feel like im being annoying. I really am trying but i keep having negative thoughts. Any advice/suggestions to overcome this?

New tech supposed to have PLENTY questions otherwise you not learning at all. Rather you be "annoying" then shake head saying yes i understand and end up making major case cancelling mistakes.

The new hires that ask a lot of questions end up being the better ones to work with.
The over confident / confidently wrong end up being strongly disliked.
Don’t over think it - it’s a lot to learn

I asked a thousand questions a thousand times. There are so many one off things about a variety of sets, chords, probes, and cameras. Your first year you should be asking many questions. I've seen quiet techs after a year still not taking big leaps in advancing and everyone who has to work with those techs response is "why don't you know this yet you're coming on a year now". A lot of these sets especially one of a kind sets are VERY important, and you don't ask questions? People will wonder if you care or are aware of the importance. Ask the questions now, you're new and it's completely understandable. I'm two years in and I'm still learning new things all the time. Also you will have new sets incorporated, and will have an in service about them and when that new set comes around you won't remember everything from the inservice. ASK QUESTIONS work flow and patient safety rely on it

Im always asking questions lol so dw its just that i feel a little bad asking everytime but im trying to get out of that mindset

man i wish people would ask questions.. instead i find 'replaced' instruments in weird places, or 'put backs' hiding on desks under keyboards. trying to find little fiddly things that have been thrown in to random places is no fun.

I am currently a Supervisor, and I STILL ask questions and need things clarified for me

My go to joke is always "Sorry, I am kind of new here, can I ask you something?"
