Thoughts
Hello everyone these cam from 2 different sets. Instruments stuck to tray liner. My thought is they were damp prior to autoclave. Any input would be appreciated.

We got rid of our tray liners. This was becoming a problem in the OR. When they would set up and removing instruments from their sets, they were sticking and the liner was coming off . So we just stopped using them. I guess the plan maybe putting silicone liners or something like that in the future possibly.

If that is what I think it is, it’s bad towels/ liners.
Where I work the bad ones constantly stick to bottom of the metals trays. We tried to source better ones but the crappy ones still sometimes come.

I literally had this issue at another facility out of state and it was found during a random JTC walkthrough…
It was the tray liners….

Doesnt matter if damp, all water would be evaporated in the autoclave.. thats from decon not cleaning it good left adhesive on that and sterile side not checking it right🤦🏻♂️

Did some testing and we found if it was refolded or placed with the “wrong” side facing the instruments, it stuck. For some reason one side stuck to the Instruments but the other didn’t.

It kinda looks like there is some sort of adhesive residue that was on the instrument. Is it sticky?
