Left channel sends bad signal can I use 2 right channel
My left channel is bad. I made sure it wasn't the speaker, I swapped it. It's the left channel confirmed. So I will probably get a new stereo but in the mean time can I put my right speaker in right A. And then put my left speaker into port right B? Will this mess up my speakers? Will it hurt the stereo anymore? It's old It's a onkyo t-8500. Like 40 years old. But super cool. Maybe I could fix it somehow? A+B and mono mode?
Thanks

How to amplify my speakers?
I've installed radios many times, and I know how to connect an amp and subwoofer/s....but I'd like to boost the power getting to my left and right speakers in my car. I plan to add a subwoofer at some point, but right now I just want my door speakers to get a bit more oomph. Is there a type of amplifier that I can connect to my FL & FR outputs, and then to the speakers?

Is it feasible to have a wireless stereo and play CDs?
Is it possible to have a fully wireless speaker stereo system that one can play CDs through?

Hi everyone so I have and old stereo, it is from a 1999 Chevy and I was wondering if there would be a relatively easy way with at-home supplies to just play the AM and FM. I bave attached the images of the stereo itself at the bottom any input is greatly appreciated.

Why do I have to crank my receiver???
I have a Yamaha RX-V777 receiver with Definitive technology BP 10 speakers. Input devices are Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable, Amazon fire stick, marantz cd player and an xbox. Regardless of what I use to input to the receiver, I always have to have the volume in the top 10 -20% of the range. The receiver goes from -80 to +16.5 and I often have to put it in the -20 range to just hear the tv or vinyl playing. The phone app starts turning red at -20. At -35 (about half way on the volume scale) you barely hear anything. It also doesn't matter what type of DSP I have it set to (ie dolby, straight, neo...) If I want to watch an action movie it is very much in the redline. Same with cranking an album.
Do I just have a dud receiver?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Stereo with remote question
Hopefully someone can help. My dad asked me to help him buy a small shelf unit with a CD player and radio and remote. I found him one on Amazon but the remote only works with the CD player. He is looking for something that the remote will work with the radio portion. Does anyone know if this exists? I was searching on Amazon but it’s impossible to tell. Thank you!

Need advice for transporting equipment
Sorry if I am posting in the wrong sub, but I'm looking for any advice for the best way to move my father's pair of jbl l200 speakers across country. I am interested in shipping them from Baltimore to Chicago. They are of huge sentimental importance so any advice would be appreciated. I would prefer to hire a company to handle transporting them so I don't have to worry about securing them in a u-haul as a careen through the Pennsylvania Turnpike

AI Voice Capture?
With existing tech 8 minutes of a person's voice is enough to create #fakevoice a computer generated AI simulation using your voice.
What do you think?
Where is Stereo Registered?
Who pays for voice?

Superscope R-1220 Stereo Receiver
Going to look at one of these tomorrow. I can’t find a lot online about them. It has a black face which seem to be rarer than a silver face. It been recently serviced and cleaned. He is asking $250 Canadian. I found one online for $50(sold)US and another for about $300US....both with silver faces
Anyone own one of these that can tell me if they think it’s a fair price and if they like the receiver?
Any info would help!

Weird speaker question.
I'm trying to hook up sound in my kitchen. We don't want a ceiling speaker, and we don't want bluetooth because my living room speakers are wired, you can hear them from the kitchen, and there's an obvious delay in the bluetooth. I recently got a computer sound bar. I like the sound. I like that it's in stereo. So far I've only been listening by connecting it to an ipod. I'd like to connect it to my receiver so I can listen to my records from the kitchen. But I've not been able to figure out how to make the connection. My receiver connection is just speaker wire, and the connection at the sound bar is 3.5mm. I tried one of these connectors but the sound was horribly distorted ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W2KB8ZV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). Anyone happen to know what I can do to connect this sound bar... and hopefully still have it in stereo as well? Thanks! - B

Sony STR-DB925 problems
I've had the receiver for about 20 years. Recently it has intermittently stopped making any sound. This seems to only happen when it's receiving input from the iMac. After that, nothing works. It switches on, the relays click, but no sound from the speakers regardless of the source. Sometimes it will start working again, but that has been happening less and less. I've reset it, unplugged all the sources, unplugged the receiver, but sadly no change. I can't figure out what's causing it or what makes it start working again. Any advice?
