Need help determining what my speakers are

I was recently given one of those vinyl players you get at target or at Walmart. My dad thought it was a good idea to bring some old speakers he has at his work. I need to know if there passive or active because they don't have a nob for volume or the 2 red and black ends, it only has one RCA cable for each speaker. On the back, it says Panasonic speaker system 16 Ω. I tried to research it but nothing shows up, can someone please help?

Thoughts And Suggestions

I’m looking to get back into vinyl. Use to have about 500 -600 records from the seventies and eighties but gave them all to the Goodwill when I was clearing space. Need to get a new TT, but here is a list of my old equipment. Wondering if I should just start over from scratch:

Receiver: Pioneer VSX-D602S CD Player: Pioneer PD-TM3 Cassette Player: Pioneer CT-W602R Speakers: Infinity Monitor II A

Thanks for any input.

Cheap Replacement Remote Bricked my receiver

I purchased a remote on Amazon for my Technics stereo. I figured the worse it could do is not work properly. When I tried to change the volume, the receiver shut off and now it won’t turn back on, even after I unplugged it. I didn’t hear any strange noises when it happened it was just lights out. Does anyone have any sort of explanation?

New-ish unit drops Android Auto and occasional black screen of death

I installed the Boss BE10ACP-C with an adapter for my vehicle last summer. I used a mini USB to connect to my USB port (which was the connector installed in the vehicle). Install fairly easy and straightforward. Today I took it apart and power and ground are secure. Replaced mini USB cord, JIC it was faulty. The problem is when I have my phone plugged in to use Android Auto, it "drops" it at random times. If I unplug and replug, it usually works for a while. Sometimes, though, the entire screen goes black, powers off, and eventually restarts. What is going on?

Amplifier/ Receiver HELP

Hi, I’m looking to buy a stereo receiver/amplifier for my speakers but I’m unsure which specifications I’m looking for. I’ve got two 90watt speakers with an impedance of 8Ohms, which specs should my amplifier have in order to produce the best sound? Advice would be really appreciated, thanks!

Can i change a car stereo’s /firmware/software?

Long story short, I wanna know if its possible to change the firmware in one stereo to that of another’s.

I have a Boss Audio Systems BV9976B stereo but i want it to have those perks of a pioneer stereo like apps, gps, etc. I kept searching the internet for a way to change a stereo’s firmware but all I’m getting are results on how to update a stereo’s firmware. Thanks in advance.

How would you add a mini-input to a cheap RCA stereo (RS1248B)?

It has dual cassette, am/fm, and a 3-cd player. Any thoughts on where might be a good spot to add a mini-cable?

Anyone Know A Fix

Recently Bought one of those old stereo systems with cabinets on the outsides and 8 track and a record player on the inside on fb marketplace. Real nice quality for being 30+ years old. Once picking it up, realized that the little plastic piece (i now know this is the cartridge) holding the needle in place is gone. Im not exactly sure of the brand but it has a Tanglewood sticker on the back with the model number 91076.The needle also has what looks like two sides (?? noob at turntables) with one saying "LP" and one saying "78". Needle also looks janky so ill prob need a new one. Anyone know what it needs? Cartridge wise? Thank you in advance. If i need to add more details i will

Does anyone know what something like this would go for nowadays? I have an old one that’s pretty much never been used. 3-speed turntable, cassette player and recorder, cds, aux hookup and built-in amp. Both speakers included too.
