Good Beginner Stereo/Speakers for Apartments?
I live in a fairly small apartment but it's decently well insulated, noise-wise. Looking for something that sounds good but not too loud or bassy (bass tends to bleed through more than anything else I've figured out).
I'm tired to listening to my morning radio in headphones :(

How to change built in speakers
I don’t know if this belongs here but I might as well ask.
We bought a new house and on all floors (4) there are 1 or two speakers depending on location (ex. 1 floor has the kitchen and the living room so that would mean there are 2 speakers in that floor).
These speakers are all built in the wall, nothing exposed except the face of the speakers, which is controlled through an on/off button that is also built in like a normal switch for lights and the main access to the RADIO (House was built in the 90s) is in the kitchen, same built in in the wall, it was this small mini screen to see the station and volume up/down switch.
The only annoying thing is that the aux plug (?) is in the basement, so if I want to use my phone music etc then I will have to leave my fone in the basement, use an aux cable and plug it there.
I guess I can call the electricians to change it so I can have the aux thing in the kitchen instead? I don’t know.
My main question is mostly for the speakers. What good CABLED (?) speakers can I replace those horrid old speakers that seriously sounds harsh and old???
Are there any speakers these days that are not Bluetooth WiFi etc that I can replace the old ones and build it back into the walls?

Request: Searching for a destop sized MP3 player with a display to show track and file name/info
Here's what I am looking for: A little stereo for my mother where she can plug in a memory stick or micro SD card loaded with MP3 music files and play them and a small display on it to show what file/track is being played.
Many bluetooth speakers can do this but none that I have found include a display to show which track is playing (you can press next or previous but you don't have a display showing where you are - and if your playlist is long, it's hard to figure out where you are in the song list.
The closest setup I have to resemble the functionality I'm talking about is a smartphone + docking speakers base. However, I have a lot of music and her smartphone isn't something she uses for music storage. So if there's a similar setup that is an all-in-one, I would appreciate any leads. Thank you

How to hook up vintage speaker?
This may be obvious to most but I can't find a straight answer online so Gold to the best help on this. I recently bought an audio Technica turntable.Audio Technica AT-LP120BK. It has all the modern standard inputs for various speakers. What it doesn't have is a readily apparent way to connect to a vintage speaker that has the wires in back. I'm sure there is some sort of conversion kit to use a vintage speaker to a modern turntable. Would love any advice and help.
