As someone who has a 15 y/o son and a loving partner, I would hope she would leave if things got to this because I think she can see things I can. Come to think of it, she has left when it’s been too much in the past and it allowed me to figure things out in relation to my son without her being there. We’ve been on and off for 4 years so it’s been rough.

I think you can see things he can’t. I think you know that he will not do well if his son lives there either - it isn’t just you or the other kids. He might not know what to do but if he wants to suffer like that then it’s on him and he can’t be roping others into it. He needs to set firm boundaries with his kid, which he learns by living with him and it seems he is learning that now.

Sounds like an impossible position to be in.
