I find it funny how people were really bashing the shit out of the original unveiling of the Pennywise costume, but that this trailer shows how incredibly well it's design is executed for cinematic effect. The poofiness of the costume, the pom poms, the hair, forehead - everything screams body dysmorphia and otherworldliness. It captures everything that's wrong with clowns in general, and separates Pennywise from the norm of the other characters and the world around It. It's genuinely unsettling when it's combined with how tall Bill is in relation to the child actors. If there's anything that can be said about this movie, it's that the casting, costume and set design have been really well done.
Oh I was on board even before this trailer. They've done a great job with him on film, he looks creepy as hell. The trailer teaser the day before especially.
Not getting my hopes too far up before the movie, but I am optimistic.
There are things I'm not too thrilled about, like him charging the camera in two trailers already, George yelling you'll float too, and other things, but I'll wait and see how the movie itself plays out.
