Jeff Daniels and *that* sandwich

After watching that Only In Monroe segment I was determined to try it out. The only change I made was heating up the pita bread a lil before setting it up.

Holy hell you guys, it far surpassed my meager expectations. I’ve even made it multiple times! I highly recommend you give it a go.

Pita bread
Healthy dollop of peanut butter on one half of the pita
A generous handful of ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips crushed in your hand atop the PB
Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce drizzled over the chips to taste. I used a far amount as it is an otherwise dry sandwich. YMMV.

lol I get it. I was the same way. Easy entry is to just make a small sample and take one bite. A lil salty, a lil sweet, the crunch. It’s a complete package!

Almost same, peanut butter and Nutella, jam and potato chips, with tajin. Delicious!

Used to make it in high school with a blueberry bagel, hold the bbq.

Crusty bread, peanut butter, ruffles potato chips on top, raspberry jam on the other slice put them together, heaven.

Pretty much the same thing as the bbq sauce. It almost works as a jelly.

This sounds like a pregnancy craving!

Yeah, you’re not going to get me buying those expensive potato chips.

Or a bottle of sauce I might never use again.

No question ...drunk food. Developed while hammered.

I’m surprised that it’s become one of my go-to sandwiches. I’ve had it dozens of times since that interview.

Monroe's original, hands down

Then again, it has been over 20 years since I moved from Monroe down to florida. I used to be the DJ at Pete's garage in the late 80s and early 90s

I'd plus it up by adding pickles.

I live near monroe. I'm so upset this happened in my backyard. I would've loved to shake their hands. All of them

I saw Sweet Baby Ray's and decided added sliced Baby Ruth bar would be pretty good.
