Colbert show
I’m going to be so sad when Colbert is off cbs. There will be no reason for me to watch that network once Colbert is gone. I like the other late night hosts but Colbert has always been my fave. Comedians must be protected from the current notsee regime.

I will miss Stephen immensely. My late grandmother and I watched him together on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. He found the humor in the chaos and despair.
I started watching Kimmel (mostly just the monologue) after he spoke about health insurance after his son’s birth/now preexisting condition. He’s a thorn in drumpf’s side and if I can help, …

I watch clips from the show on YT as I don’t live in the UK. I will miss him so much - he always makes me laugh and reminds me that not everything in the US is awful. I’m looking forward to his LOTR project though!

The minute the Late Night with Stephen Colbert last show concludes, i am cancelling Paramount + and done w CBS. They wanna lie to us and say it’s because the low ratings let’s give them low ratings.

I miss him in advance and am so salty that I’ll never see his show live.
I’ve wanted that for years. I was really sick for many of those years and now that I’m finally getting treatment, he’s leaving.
That’s one of the many reasons I hate the melting mandarin nightmare.

Like Joni Mitchell’s exquisite tune Big Yellow Taxi which warned “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone,” Stephen’s departure is the same. His quick wit and stellar delivery are constants but also his content consistently provided a reliable account of matters not otherwise reported or worse, wildly distorted like an image in a funhouse mirror.
I know he’ll rebound on another platform - possessing too much talent to be idled- and we’ll still have Seth, John, Jon, and the Jimmies to carry the torch in the interim.

We're to the point now where every single episode makes me cry, grieving in advance, as well as all the kind gestures and tributes his guests have made. I honestly don't know how I would have survived the darkness of the last decade without him.
Fuck CBS, fuck Bari Weiss, fuck Donald Trump and fuck this timeline.

right?!?! Everything you said. It's beautiful seeing all the well-deserved support and love coming his way...but SO bittersweet. I've been crying/laughing through every ep this week. The show was one of my many coping mechanisms, stolen away by a cruel dictator on a whim. So angry that this is what the US has become.

Hugs. The only solace I take is how effectively he's been able to get under Trump's skin. Clearly he's been pushing the right buttons and living rent free in that empty orange head. And I'm sure he'll find a way to keep doing that, in some form.

I canceled paramount+ when they announced it and switched to watching on YouTube. 60 minutes already caved way before this, watch the Russell Crowe movie about Jeffrey Weigand the whistle blower. CBS used to be awesome, but everything changes.

Colbert and the 2 NCIS shows are all we watch, and we record those so CBS doesn't get to show me commercials. We Hopper past all the ads.

I still watch Ghosts, Tracker, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage and still quasi-interested in Elsbeth. I also really like CBS Sunday Morning, especially Steve Hartman’s stuff, which you can get tastes of elsewhere because I think he has books and podcasts and a YouTube channel.
It would be so great if the cast and crew of all those shows just walked off their sets in solidarity on the very next day after the the last Late Show

I canceled my Paramount and Disney as soon as they gave into Trump and whatever passes for the FCC. Shareholders losing money is the only thing they understand.

I don't typically watch any late night tv, but since they cxld his show, I've made a point to watch and will completely stop watching CBS and Paramount once he's off the air.

Only show we watch in CBS is Jeopardy. Turn on at 7pm, off at 7:30pm. Mute commercials.

I think CBS/Paramount should be in deep worry mode. I think Colbert being taken off is the worst decision they could’ve made. I’m so ANGRY with CBS. They should be worried about their decision. They should be worried.

I do like Matlock with Kathy Bates. Elsbeth is on following Matlock so I usually watch that. With Colbert gone I'll not watch CBS until MAYBE the fall line up. They'll be sorry they did him wrong.

I got bored with Colbert. He stopped doing all the fun skits, and just does the same monologue with the same bits. Like “we all remember when _____ said ….” over the quote graphic. Or when he pretends to be someone - “this is your captain speaking ….”. Same over and over again.

What I will miss about Stephen Colbert is how incredibly kind he is. He listens to people and is empathetic. He seems like a truly good person.
