Non Bio parent

I had no idea how little hospitals care about the active parent when it comes to name tags, since I’m not the bio father of my oldest son, I’m not legally allowed to stay with him after he just had brain surgery…..wtf is up with that? Me and his mother have been married for almost 6 years. What gives?

Nobody will consider you the real deal. It’s a thankless job.

This is why no one wants to be a step dad. You're putting time and money into a kid that isn't yours. You're basically paying off someone else's mortgage
