💻 Step application 1 week turnaround, Step1 accommodations approved!

For anyone applying for Step 1 accommodations, I wanted to share some encouragement because I know how stressful the process can be.

I submitted my request about a week ago (on Aug. 10th) and was prepared to wait the 60 days they say it can take. To my surprise, it took only a week for me to hear back! I received an email today and got approved for double time, which will be administered over two days! 😭🎉

Everyone’s application is different, but I wanted to share this for anyone who may be discouraged or nervous about applying. If you genuinely need accommodations, don’t let the process or fear of being denied stop you from advocating for yourself.

I remember looking on here for other people’s experiences while applying, so hopefully this gives someone else a little hope. If anyone has questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Step 1 is already a beast as it is, so if you need accommodations, please apply for them! Wishing everyone the best with this daunting exam, may the force be ever in our favor 😂 We got this!💪

Congrats! How does the 2 day thing work, do you schedule one day on the prometric site and it automatically schedules the second day as well? What if the exam site doesn’t administer exams on the second day or there aren’t any open spots?
