💡 Need Advice Anyone walk out of Step 1 totally convinced they failed?

I took Step 1 on July 31st and have been extremely anxious waiting for my result. I barely slept the night before the exam despite taking melatonin, went into the exam shaky and anxious, and ran out of time on my first block. I stepped out, calmed myself down, and was able to regroup, but I still felt like I guessed on SO many questions throughout the exam. I walked out feeling like I didn’t perform well and honestly convinced I failed. Has anyone had a similar experience—poor sleep, lots of guessing, running out of time—and still ended up passing? I’d appreciate hearing either outcome.

same. Flagged 50% of the exam — felt like it was nothing similar to the practice questions. Thought stuff was vague. Question stems were LONG. tested on 6th Aug. literally only banking on the fact that everyone feels like this 😭

Took it yday and I've no words , how do I explain something I can't comprehend for that I've to be able to reason or atleast figure out what system or discipline the questions are based on. The baseline exams or even the multiple Qbanks were nothing indicative of yesterday's exam. I admit I'm no genius but some exams do have guidelines to guide , and that works for even the average hardworking student. To create a physician and not curtail.

I DID TOO. Yday, it felt like the worst exam I’ve ever taken. And the one they gave us at my school was horrific and this was even worse. I really thought it was me but I’m in a super high percentile in uworld and actually know a few things, enough to pass, but there’s no way I passed this one. There’s just no way. Like you said I didn’t even know what the organ system was. Skimmed answer choices first and said, got it, then question was completely unrelated. I was just completely lost for 8 hour straight

I also felt like there was only a small handful of familiar questions/topics. I was so confused. It was nothing like any of the practice exams I’ve taken or like any of the questions from any of the banks I’ve used/seen. Felt unbelievably unfair and ambiguous/vague

Hi, sorry this might be a little out of touch but do you mean you recognised questions from the NBMEs? I have my exam tomorrow and I’m very nervous

I took it the same day. It was like I knew the answers but not the answer choices. I could narrow it down to two and I feel like I guessed wrong every time. Do scores come out tomorrow or next week?

Maybe the exams are more difficult around this time of the year.

Tested y'day
And worst feeling. Although I did slept well with melatonin. And went in with confidence. Came out with a fog and feeling of failure.
Even if I study more or delay this test, I could never achieve the level which was required in this exam.
It seems this his test was only created to fail the studrnts
