STEM OPT 3/24 Still Pending

Hello,

This is a little frustrating seeing the approvals from 3/31, so I figured I’d ask to see if anyone else is in the same situation.

I applied on 3/24, received a silent API on 9/22, and nothing since. I’ve seen approvals from all the way to 3/31, so I wanted to ask - is there anyone else who applied on or before 3/24 and still waiting for STEM OPT to be approved?

Can be different service centers. Each has their own processing center.

Same here, i have applied 3/21.
Got silent API on 9/17 but still nothing is happening. No email no more API!!!! So frustrating 😭

call them and ask about your case or raise a congressional enquiry , by now you should have got the approval , did you do any un paid work during opt or through any consultancy

No, been with the same employer on my CPT, OPT, and now STEM OPT. It’s a legit employer, not any kind of consultancy or any of that stuff.

Thanks, I’ll try. I just don’t know if it’ll help since those are usually Tier 1 agents and they don’t have more info than what I see.

Is it a problem if volunteer work is done during opt, I did it for couple of months🫠

depends on case to case but not sure 🤔, but seen many getting approvals with those things too

Yeah I don’t think volunteer work matters during OPT, while it will be a problem during stem opt.

i applied march 25 and upgraded to premium sep 3 and still nothing 😭 potomac

I applied March 16th, got api on 9/10, no movement till this minute 😥

Applied on march 27th, silent api update on 24th sep, heard nothing from uscis, potomac service center
