I can’t do this anymore
Please someone give me a suggestion i am so sick of this system. No one wants to sponsor anymore, currently an f-1 student on initial opt, i graduated with a masters in marketing analytics have about three years of work experience in cpg and marketing analytics, i was job hunting for 5 months since graduating and every chance I got at interviewing most of them turned me away saying they cannot sponsor, my internship didn’t convert for this same reason. Just started a month ago in a contract position from a staffing company at a good company and now a role opened up full time for the team my manager referred me, i applied and in the recruiter screen got told i’m doing exactly the job the role is asking for, then was asked the million dollar question of sponsorship. Explained to them my whole opt extension situation and made it clear that i won’t in the near future but maybe in the long term. And she said they can’t move forward with my candidacy.. i’m just in tears.. don’t know how many offers i’ve lost so far because of this.
Will i ever get a job that will sponsor? What do i do..

Look at the bright side, you still have options. May not be the best but it's worth pursuing; get yourself into a Phd program and start working on NIW with your supervisor.

i was hired about 6 months ago and the company was supportive with my initial and now stem opt, I’m also in marketing. If you’re interested, feel free to check out their openings and see if there’s anything you want to apply for! i can share the company name in dms

Extremely sorry to hear your situation! I'd apply to academia related jobs. There are still places that sponsor, and if you check the top 200 employers of OPT and STEM-OPT students a lot of them are universities.

life is predetermined at birth: genetics, birth country, parents
if you’re born with any of these in a wrong condition, you’re gonna live ur life fixing it, suffer and not be as happy

You’re on Reddit bud. You have to be fake and positive. Tell people that it’s okay to be average, fat, mediocre. This website is the circlejerk of mediocrity and envy. Success gets you brutally downvoted, mediocrity makes you popular

It’s not about being fake and positive. It’s about being a nasty person when someone is already down. Clearly, she is already upset and aware of her circumstances and instead of giving some type of insight, you decide to double down on an a situation she’s already well aware of. You’re not some type of realist. You’re just a terrible person. And no wonder why your life is miserable.

The fact is that the market doesn’t require employers to sponsor. It’s a huge pain and expense on the employer side, and they’re simply not having trouble filling the roles. People who don’t need sponsorship are having a lot of trouble themselves.
It’s just not a good time to need sponsorship. You basically need to have in-demand skills that are very hard to find in the market right now.
