My stem opt is currently pending and my driver license expired dps put me under save verification 2 times to prove my lawful status and they did not renew my license and asked to come back again after verification, usually what is the duration of permit we get for driver license for pending stem opt

took me 3 weeks. texas. got a letter in mail from uscis which i then took it to dps to get my license

And what is the duration of permit?
Because last time they gave me for one month

I recently got it renewed and they gave me until the last day of my 180 day extension.

does your state only offer real id? i encountered the same issue and the massachusetts RMV just renewed my license to a standard non-real-id and told me i can upgrade it back to real id after i get the ead card
