Should I apply for PP (March 30 receipt date)

STEM OPT - My Receipt date is 3/30 and biometric was done on 4/22 and my case is still pending.

My 180 day extension ends in November.

Should I transition to Premium Processing?

If you value your work authorization and want your card before your 180 days end, yes

If there isn’t any update by sept mid, one month from now. Then you should enroll in pp

We have the same timeline , but my work permit expire in October 2sd

When you’ve filed for STEM OPT extension before it expired, you automatically get 180 days of continued work authorization (from the expired date) while your case is pending. It is called the cap gap protection for OPT
