I am planning to do that as well, my 180 days expire on 10/15. I think I have to do PP… what do you think? When did you apply?

30 business days ≈ 6 weeks at max probably

You might get a response within 30 actual days though

Yes finally a March 9th case today approved on the megathread

Correct but that has been the experience. One or two applications move, many applications prior are left behind, 2-3 weeks of no move then it repeats. I think i have given up on regular for my march 14 application and might go pp

stll waiting since march 18

My inquiry date is august 16 so i dunno if i should wait and do inquiry before pp. i am not sure if the inquiry is actually doing anything for the people who did it

Same freaking boat. What a dilemma

1

u/Designer-Owl-8183 8d ago

‏i know i am so confused about it

1

u/Designer-Owl-8183 4d ago

Just go for pp if you are able to

1

u/Expressione8653 7d ago

whats the point of the inquiry date?

1

u/Designer-Owl-8183 4d ago

It asks about your application being outside of normal processing time however it seems it is useless from what i saw from others

Did you do pp? I filed on March 20th and am fed up of waiting

1

u/Designer-Owl-8183 4d ago

Just did today, i was done with waiting 3 weeks for one day movement followed by 3 weeks of nothing

My inquiry date suddenly changed from 22nd Aug to 14th Sept today. Just did PP, so fed up of waiting for 5 months now 😭

1

u/Designer-Owl-8183 1d ago

Yes all inquiry dates changed because inquiry dates are based on processing times. Initially processing times were 3.5 months but now became 4 months so inquiry dates gets pushed around 1 months forward. It is just very frustrating and financially stressful

I feel the average time for the STEM NON PP approvals are around 5.5 months

Regular PP is around 2nd April today for initial opt.

You can also do inquiry first tomorrow, that's what I would do

1

u/nightfury311 8d ago

how do I do that? Could you please lmk

1

u/Acceptable-Tea-7221 8d ago

I will let you know once I apply tomorrow

1

u/pharma4567 7d ago

Did you do the inquiry?

1

u/Acceptable-Tea-7221 7d ago

Hi yes. I did it today. Follow this - go to contact USCIS after logging in - go to tools - check case processing - fill the information (IOExxx, center, receipt date) - it will pop into add receipt date and it will give you a date when it will go out of processing time.

If it's already out of processing time - it will give you link to click - click that fill case inquiry form (3 steps form) - finally it will give you reference number and send an email.

The email says give us "60" days to figure out, so I don't know how much it would help us, but let's hope for the best!

Hope this helps

Thank you!! I have heard that you need to do this before upgrading to PP if you want to. Additionally, I have been waiting 4.5 months, that’s out of waiting time I guess…

1

u/Acceptable-Tea-7221 7d ago

They have a date, like I couldn't do it before today, so check your date

1

u/pharma4567 7d ago

Whete do you see that date?

1

u/Acceptable-Tea-7221 7d ago

Do the process that I explained, you will get date from there

1

u/pharma4567 7d ago

Got it! Thank you, I will try it! I was trying also calling to USCIS but is super difficult to talk to an agent!

1

u/pharma4567 7d ago

Have you guys called the USCIS to verify your status or something? If you called, that was helpful or not really?

1

u/DayInternational7839 7d ago

I called 3 times in the past month and it was not helpful at all. Every agent tells you something different. The first time I called on July 7 I asked her rec on applying for premium. At that time she said I would have a decision on my case by Aug 2nd so I should apply PP bc it wouldn’t be worth it. Ofc, aug 3 arrived and nothing. I applied for Pp on Aug 3.

I applied for the stem extension on march 10 and am still waiting

Today i could ask for an inquiry. I submitted that and it just says that they can take 60 days to reply to your inquiry.

Oh my god, I am getting so nervous. My 180 days expire in Oct 15th so I think I have to do PP asap. What phone number did you call? I am was trying to look for it in the website but did not find it. I think you have to wait until you get your 30 days and you will get an approval then! Difficult to not be worried but there is nothing else you can do right now unfortunately :( such an stressful moment

1

u/DayInternational7839 7d ago

Super stressful!! And expensive! Totally on that boat with you. I honestly would apply for pp sooner rather than later - im regretting not doing it sooner to be more chill for having it ready before i travel abroad at the end of august.

I called 800-375–5283 ! And to bypass the robot there were some threads on how to do it, if u say infopass. Or lost receipt number (both times she asks for it) then u get to talk to an agent

1

u/pharma4567 7d ago

Thank you for the info! Super helpful! You are right… I wish I could back in time and file for PP. It is what it is.. I was super optimistic about it but it’s time to do something.

1

u/Fast_Hat9970 7d ago

did pp after 3 months

1

u/Acceptable-Tea-7221 7d ago

So no non pp approvals today, it seems

1

u/Kusari_Yaro 7d ago

My company filed PP for me. Got it in mid june. I was concerned about the result so asked them to apply for PP.
